The Lord Hill Hotel enjoyed its ‘GOLDEN YEARS’ as a ‘SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE VENUE’ between 1970 and 1978 and I had the pleasure of presenting the music at this iconic venue, where the music, the dancefloor and the people, combined to produce an incredible atmosphere.

Since those great days ‘SOLID GOLD’ has organised several ‘REVIVAL’ events featuring the music of that era, including ‘MOTOWN’ and ‘NORTHERN SOUL’, bringing those well known classics together with the occasional ‘RARE GEM’!

Saturday 23rd of November 2019, was the ‘VERY LAST’ time that such an event was held at the Lord Hill and since then we have held several ‘REVIVAL’ events at Shrewsbury Town FC as a tribute to that fabulous venue.

We’ll be there on the 23rd Nov 2024, doing it all again. So, why not come along and help to recreate those great memories!
